Three days is the minimum to set foot in the Luberon. Here is the itinerary we give to our guests at Le Clos de Manon. The idea: one village per half-day, without pressure, with real gourmet breaks.

Day 1 — Gordes and Sénanque

Morning · Gordes

Set off on foot from the villa (10 min). Coffee on Place du Château, market on Tuesday, village tour. Allow 2h30 with a lunch break.

Afternoon · Bories Village + Sénanque Abbey

Visit Bories Village (45 min), then head to Sénanque for late afternoon — the raking light is sublime there.

Dinner

At the villa (open kitchen), terrace under the pergola. Or book at La Trinquette in the village (Luberon view, booking essential).

Day 2 — Roussillon, Bonnieux, Lacoste

Morning · Roussillon and the Ochre Trail

20 min drive. The Ochre Trail (30 min walk) crosses a unique red canyon landscape. Wear shoes that don't fear ochre dust.

Lunch in Bonnieux

Hilltop village 30 min from Roussillon. Many terraces with views. La Terrasse is a safe classic.

Afternoon · Lacoste

10 min from Bonnieux. Lacoste Château (Pierre Cardin) dominates the valley. The entire village is a quiet 1-hour stroll.

Return · Ménerbes

On the way back, stop in Ménerbes for a drink and a photo of the listed village. Allow 20 min.

Day 3 — L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue or Valensole Plateau

On the last day, two options depending on your mood:

Our hosts' tip

Don't overload. The Luberon is visited slowly, one terrace after another. If you have 5 days, add a full pool day at Le Clos de Manon — it's often the memory our guests take with them.
