Silence, stone,
and the song of the cicadas.

Le Clos de Manon opens its green shutters ten minutes walk from Gordes village — Route de Murs, at the heart of the Luberon — onto an enclosed garden of olive and cypress trees, a soft lawn, and a private heated pool, swimmable April through October. A villa just for you, for the length of a Provençal pause.

Two bright bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room with open kitchen extending onto the pergola-shaded terrace — and, at the bottom of the garden, the signature of the place: an authentic dry-stone borie, a traditional Luberon hut turned into an independent studio for two. Sénanque Abbey is a fifteen-minute bike ride away; Roussillon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Ménerbes within reach of a morning.

Two comfortable bedrooms opening onto the garden, two bathrooms, a living room with open kitchen and flat-screen TV.

Borie studio

At the bottom of the garden, an authentic dry-stone borie — a traditional Luberon hut — converted into a studio for two. A night like nowhere else.

Bikes & parking

Bike rental on site to set off discovering the Luberon. Free Wi-Fi and private parking included — everything is planned, nothing missing.

The details
that matter.

Antique terracotta tiles underfoot, exposed beams, green shutters barely tapping at the windows. Washed linen sheets, ceramics found at Luberon antique markets, furniture worn in by the seasons. Every thing was chosen to last — and to give you that rare feeling of inhabiting a place, not just passing through.

A quiet luxury, as Provence has always thought of it: without ostentation, with care.

Hello,
I'm Jean-François.

Twenty years ago I put down my bags in Gordes — twenty years learning the light of the Luberon, sensing the precise moment when the lavender will bloom, getting to know the baker who makes the best fougasse in the village. Le Clos de Manon was born from that love.

I wanted to open this house the way you open your door to a friend: with care, without intermediaries, and willingly sharing the addresses one usually keeps to oneself. I reply personally — by phone, WhatsApp or email — and remain reachable throughout your stay.

When you arrive, the essentials will already be done: shutters open, pool heated, a note left on the table with my recommendations for the first days. For the rest, the time is yours.

When to come
to Le Clos de Manon?

Every month in the Luberon has its beauty. Here are the ones we love most to share with you.

April
Spring
Almond trees in bloom
The pool is already heated. Poppies appear in the meadows, almond trees burst into white. The villages are still quiet.
June
Early summer
Early lavender
First lavenders appear at Sénanque around mid-June. Evenings are long, perfect for dining under the pergola.
July
Lavender peak
Lavender in majesty
The season to book earliest. Valensole, 1h away, is in peak bloom. Festivals and night markets in every village.
September
Late season
Harvest & figs
Our favourite season. Softened heat, harvests in the vineyards, figs in the garden. Tourist crowds recede, the terraces breathe.

A memory
that lasts.

Our first time in Provence and we couldn't have picked a better place. Jean-François met us at the gate, walked us through the house, and left us with a list of his favorite spots — every one a hit. The lavender at Sénanque was at its peak. Already planning a return.
